Four Named Rhodes Scholars
West Point announced that four, Class of 2025 CDTs Sarah Cao, Shepherd Dzina, Gabriella Sorrentino, and Ava Spinar have been named Rhodes Scholars and will study at the University of Oxford in the fall. Cadets competing for prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes are supported through the Graduate Scholarship Program which is funded by Margin Of Excellence donors. Read more.

Hal Moore Award
Congratulations to Class of 2025 CDTs Isaiah J. McNeilly and Gabriella M. Sorrentino for being awarded the prestigious Hal Moore Award. This honor recognizes outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence in the spirit of WPAOG DGA recipient, LTG (R) Hal Moore ’45, a legendary figure known for his valor in battle, dedication to his Soldiers and their families, and the namesake of Fort Moore. New Aerospace Engineering Major
On November 18, the Office of the Dean announced West Point’s newest major, Aerospace Engineering. With the Class of 2028 as the inaugural cohort, this hands-on program blends science, tech, and flying experiences as cadets dive into aircraft and spacecraft design, shaping the next generation of Army leaders. WPAOG Superintendent’s Circle Weekend
October 18-19, WPAOG hosted members of the Superintendent’s Circle at the annual Superintendent’s Circle Weekend. The weekend included a Friday evening Homecoming Oktoberfest at Herbert Hall, sponsored by Hjalma, Laura, Len, and Nancy Johnson, with members of the USMA and WPAOG leader teams. Guests also enjoyed the football game on Saturday. The Superintendent’s Circle Weekend recognizes donors who made gifts of $2,500 or more to the Superintendent’s Annual Fund or the West Point Parents Fund in 2023. Photos.
