Affirmation
 

On August 17, the Class of 2027, Earned Not Given, affirmed their commitment to service and took the Oath of Affirmation. LTG (R) Robert P. Lennox '77 was the guest speaker for the evening. The 50-Year Affiliation Class of 1977 proudly presented each member of the Class of 2027 with a coin to commemorate the milestone. Read more. Photos.

Class of 2029, Hold the Line

Congratulations to the Class of 2029 on completing their Cadet Basic Training! They finished with the rugged March Back, accompanied by their WPAOG 50-Year Affiliate Class of 1979. The New Cadets unveiled their class motto, "Hold the Line." Read more.

Acceptance Day 

  Acceptance Day Parade
   

On August 16, the U.S. Corps of Cadets welcomed to their ranks the Class of 2029 during the Acceptance Day Parade. Representatives from the 50-Year Affiliation Classes of 1979, 1978, 1977, and 1976 stood in support of the USMA Classes of 2029, 2028, 2027, and 2026 as the Hold The Line Class of '29 was accepted into the Corps. August Graduation

On August 8, five cadets graduated during a ceremony in Crest Hall. WPAOG 50-Year Affiliate, COL (R) John M. Uhorchak, MD ’75 proudly gripped hands with these new 2LTs, gifting them engraved 75-25 butter bars to commemorate their accomplishment. Photos.

The West Point Association of Graduates Class Ring Memorial Program, also known as the "Ring Melt," is a unique and powerful tradition that connects generations of West Point graduates. Through the Ring Memorial Program, gold from donated rings of alumni is melted and forged into the rings of First Class cadets, casting an unbreakable bond that links generations of the Long Gray Line. The rings that the Class of 2026 will don for the first time on August 22 will serve as a powerful symbol of Duty, Honor, Country and the enduring spirit of West Point. Learn more.

Army West Point Athletics has announced the newest members of the Army Sports Hall of Fame. The 21st class of the Army Sports Hall of Fame will be inducted on September 19 at 6 PM in Eisenhower Hall. The Class of 2025 features the following inductees: David Cannella ’84 (Rifle), Michael Mahan ’70 (Men’s Rugby), Bob Robbins ’66 (Wrestling), Kim Seminiano ’89 (Women’s Track and Field), and Ray Thayer ’46 (Men’s Swimming and Diving).
