WPAOG Presents Distinguished Graduate Award
Congratulations to the six recipients of the 2026 WPAOG Distinguished Graduate Award: Mr. Michael C. Mewhinney ’66, COL (R) B. Hudson Berrey ’72, Mr. Vincent Viola ’77, GEN (R) Vincent K. West Point Cadets Earn National Scholarships and Fellowships
Cadets from the Classes of 2026 and 2027 have been selected for prestigious opportunities, including the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship, Truman Scholarship, Hertz Fellowship, and National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Their achievements highlight academic excellence, leadership, service, and purpose cultivated at West Point and supported through programs such as the Brigadier General Peter M. Dawkins 1959 Scholars Program and Technical Scholars Program, made possible by private support. Read more.

Class of ’82 Continues the Tradition
Since 2005, the West Point Class of 1982 has presented an engraved silver plate to any children of the class who graduate from West Point. That tradition continued on May 21, when WPAOG’s Senior Director of Major and Leadership Giving Mike White ’82 presented the silver plate to Stryker Gay ’26, son of Rocky and Patrice Gay. Stryker Gay is the 100th offspring of the Class of 1982 to receive a plate. Read more.

West Point Class of 1976 Gives Back
The Class of 1976 returned to West Point for its 50th reunion and marked the milestone with a record-breaking $9 million class campaign gift. Presented during the annual Alumni Luncheon in Washington Hall, the gift will support the new Cyber and Engineering Academic Center (Goethals Hall), the Modern War Institute/War Studies Program, and the Directorate of Cadet Activities' military and competitive sports clubs. Through this generous commitment, the Class of 1976 continues the Long Gray Line’s tradition of giving back and strengthening cadet development. Read more.
