Class of 2021 Graduation
The Class of 2021 joined the Long Gray Line when they graduated from West Point on May 22. This year, 995 cadets graduated. Members of the 50-Year Affiliate Class of 1971 were there to present the graduates with their Second Lieutenant bars. Dean BG Cindy Jebb ’82 Retires
West Point will bid farewell to BG Cindy Jebb ’82, outgoing Dean of the Academic Board of the United States Military Academy, and welcome COL(P) Shane Reeves '96 as the 15th Dean when Jebb retires on May 28. Before taking command, Reeves was a USMA professor and head of the Department of Law. He is also a founding member and Director of the Lieber Institute for Law and Land Warfare located at West Point. Thank You For a Successful All Academy Challenge 2021
Thank you to the West Point community who came together in record numbers to strengthen the Margin of Excellence during the 2021 All Academy Challenge with gifts totaling $2.57 million. It was a close race with Merchant Marine for all five days. We narrowly came in second, with 22.52 percent of the Long Gray Line supporting the Challenge. Every year we have increased West Point participation during the Challenge, which is something to celebrate and will benefit the Academy tremendously. Congratulations to all the academies! May is National Mental Health Awareness Month
In response to ongoing feedback, WPAOG has partnered with PREVENTS: President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide. The mission to end alumni suicide is a top priority for WPAOG. We selected PREVENTS which we found to be the most impartial over the many other suicide prevention organizations. Help us put an end to alumni suicide and take the PREVENTS Pledge and then Grip Hands and REACH. Trio Recognized with Prestigious AAA Honors
Army West Point Women's Soccer standout Sydney Cassalia ’21 and Baseball star Anthony Giachin ’21 were honored with the United States Military Academy's most prestigious athletic honor -- the Army Athletic Association (AAA) Award. Tyrese Bender ’21, a member of the Men's Track and Field Team, was a recipient of the AAA Special Award. Full Story.

Baseball Advances to Patriot League Championship Series
Army West Point baseball defeated Lafayette, 7-3 on May 16 at Doubleday Field to win the best-of-three Patriot League Championship Divisional Semifinal series. The Black Knights advanced to the championship series after taking two-of-three from Lafayette, winning game one on May 15, 8-6. The championship best-of-three series will take place at Lehigh, May 26-28. Full story.
