WPAOG Welcomes New Vice President

  Angela Oakley
   

WPAOG is pleased to announce Angela Oakley as the new Vice President of Development. Since joining the Association in 2017, she has advanced through key roles supporting development efforts across New York City, the Northeast, and national portfolios, most recently serving as Assistant Director of Major and Leadership Giving. In these roles, she helped secure transformational philanthropic support for West Point’s Margin of Excellence, working closely with Academy leadership and donors to advance academic programs, facilities, athletics, and Cadet experiences. Angela holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in Marketing and International Business from the University of Colorado. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), she brings extensive experience, a strong understanding of the AOG, and a deep connection to the West Point community. WPAOG Development Office is responsible for the private-sector fundraising effort for West Point and the Association of Graduates. Read more.

Family, friends and cadets gathered at the Mess Hall for the annual Founder’s Day Dinner to commemorate the founding of West Point in 1802, the legacy of the Long Gray Line and to acknowledge CDT Larry Pickett ’28, who received the Soldier’s Medal, a prestigious U.S. Army decoration awarded to distinguished service members who commit voluntary acts of heroism during a crisis, March 12, at the U.S. Military Academy.
