New CEO of WPAOG Selected

  COL (R) Mark D. Bieger ’91
   

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that COL(R) Mark D. Bieger ’91 has been selected to serve as The Honorable & Mrs. Robert A. McDonald ’75 President & CEO starting August 1, 2023. Mark is a highly decorated retired Army officer who spent almost 30 years in uniform. His senior leadership roles in civilian higher education, coupled with decades of leadership assignments in a broad mix of Army and DOD organizations, brings the perfect blend of insights and strategic planning experience to lead WPAOG. BG Robinson ’94 Takes Command of USCC

BG Lori L. Robinson ’94 assumed command as the 80th Commandant of Cadets during the USCC Change of Command Ceremony in Crest Hall. Robinson is an Aviation officer from Paterson, NJ, and has served in a variety of aviation assignments both stateside and overseas to include four combat deployments. She has led Soldiers in both command and staff positions from company through brigade task force level and just completed serving as the deputy commanding general (Support), 2 ID (Combined), Eighth Army, ROK. She is replacing BG Mark A. Quander ’95 who is moving on to be the commanding general of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, USACE in Cincinnati. Read more.

Congratulations to the three cadets who graduated today from West Point. LTC(R) Albert A Sciarretta of the 50-Year affiliate Class of 1973 handed each graduate a set of commemorative second lieutenant bars engraved with “73-23." Photos.

• SILVER: Organization of the Year
• SILVER: 2022 Alexander R. Nininger Award for Valor at Arms - the Celebration Event

CEO & President of WPAOG Todd Browne '85 accepted the awards on behalf of WPAOG. The four Stevie Awards brings WPAOG's total to 18 awards over the last five years and reflects the dedication of our staff in supporting West Point and the Long Gray Line.

Call for Nominations for Elections

In 2023, the WPAOG Nominating Committee will nominate graduates for five Director positions and six Advisor-at-Large positions. To apply for a nomination, please see the instructions posted on the WPAOG website. Submit your completed applications by July 1. The 2023 election process will conclude on November 14 at 5pm EST, at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Graduates at Herbert Alumni Center.
