After two weeks in the field, cadets capped off the first round of Cadet Field Training with a run back from Camp Buckner to West Point. 

The West Point Association of Graduates is pleased to announce that actor/writer/director/producer and philanthropist Tom Hanks will receive the 2025 Sylvanus Thayer Award. This award has been given annually since 1958 to an outstanding citizen of the United States whose service and accomplishments in the national interest exemplify personal devotion to the ideals expressed in West Point’s motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.” The award will be presented on September 25, 2025, during ceremonies hosted by the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. In 2025, the WPAOG Nominating Committee will nominate graduates for five Director positions and six Advisor-at-Large positions. To apply for a nomination, please see the instructions posted on the WPAOG website. The deadline for graduates to submit their completed applications is July 1.
