Grads’ D-Day Valor Honored in Normandy

A new West Point D-Day Memorial honoring more than 150 USMA graduates who led and fought during the Allied invasion of Normandy was unveiled June 4 at La Fière Memorial Park in Normandy, France. Established by the Normandy Institute, the memorial recognizes the leadership, courage, and sacrifice of officers who helped liberate Europe, including GEN Dwight Eisenhower (1915), GEN Omar Bradley (1915), GEN James Gavin (1929), GEN Maxwell Taylor (1922), and others. Developed in collaboration with WPAOG and partner archives, the memorial ensures their D-Day legacy will be remembered in perpetuity. Read more.

BG Andrew Morgan ’98 Promoted at White Sands Missile Range
White Sands Missile Range Commander Andrew Morgan ’98 was promoted to brigadier general during a May 28 ceremony at the Organ Mountain Parade Field. Morgan, an Army Astronaut and Space Operations Officer, assumed command of WSMR in June 2025. During the ceremony, Morgan reflected on the teammates, mentors, and family members who shaped his career, calling the greatest reward of his service “sharing this journey with the generation of leaders following behind me.” From his time aboard the International Space Station to leading WSMR, Morgan continues a distinguished career of service, leadership, and innovation. WPAOG Gift Shop Celebrates Grand Re-Opening
The West Point Association of Graduates celebrated the ribbon cutting of its newly expanded Gift Shop, marking the first phase in the transformation of Herbert Hall into a welcoming home for the West Point community. The renovated shop now offers nearly double the square footage, creating a more inviting and efficient experience for graduates, families, Army fans, and friends of the United States Military Academy.
