25th Annual Ring Melt Ceremony

WPAOG hosted the 25th Annual Ring Melt Ceremony in Eisenhower Hall on January 10. Family members and guests gathered to witness gold from 73 donated rings be melted and added to the gold which will be used to make the West Point Class of 2026’s class rings. Read more.

DGAs Announced
We are pleased to announce that six extraordinary graduates have been selected to receive the WPAOG Distinguished Graduate Award (DGA) which will be presented on May 20 at West Point. Funded by a generous endowment from E. Douglas Kenna ’45 and his wife, Jean, the DGA is the highest award given by the Association of Graduates to a graduate whose character, distinguished service, and stature draw wholesome comparison to the qualities that West Point strives for, in keeping with its motto Duty, Honor, Country. 500th Night
On January 11, the Class of 2026, "For Country We Commit," celebrated their 500th Night Banquet. The evening celebrates the countdown of 500 nights until graduation. The guest speaker was CSM Shawn D. Curry.

West Pointers Sworn Into Congress
The 119th U.S. Congress began on January 3 with West Point graduates among those sworn in, including one new senator and one new member of the House of Representatives. Read more.

Army West Point Hockey Breaks Records, Then Sings Second
On January 11, records were broken as Army West Point Hockey defeated Mercyhurst by a score of 13-1 at Tate Rink. The 13 goals broke the previous Atlantic Hockey record of 12 goals in a game. In total, Army scored 22 goals in their two-game series against Mercyhurst. Army then swept Air Force at Tate Rink, the first time since 2008, on January 17 and 18.

The West Point Model United Nations team wrapped up the fall semester with a cultural immersion trip to Marrakesh, Morocco, for the Future We Want Model United Nations Conference.
