Welcome Back Cadets
Cadets returned to West Point from a well-deserved holiday break, ready to start the new semester with enthusiasm and renewed energy! Included in the returning cadets were 63 upperclassmen who came back from their semester abroad experience and represent 14 departments, studied at universities and military academies across 11 different countries. Opportunities like the Study Abroad program are made possible by donations to the Margin Of Excellence. Learn more.

West Point Grads Advise on Netflix’s "The Pale Blue Eye"
Two West Point Graduates from the Class of 1993 worked on the new Netflix movie “The Pale Blue Eye,” a fictional tale about a detective hired to investigate the murder of a West Point cadet. The detective, played by Christian Bale, enlists the help of one of West Point’s eeriest cadets to unravel the case—a young Edgar Allan Poe. Classmates Michael Mazzocco and John Nawoichyk worked alongside Director Scott Cooper, the crew and the cast as technical advisors and military historians. Read more.

Coach Sherman joined the Black Knights in 2015 to lead the program and is the first full-time coach in Army West Point Men's Rugby history. Army West Point Hockey Takes Down #11 Providence
In their first home game of 2023, Army West Point Hockey battled #11 Providence to a 3-3 tie through regulation and overtime, before winning a shootout thriller 2-1. Read more.
CDT Anthony Firriolo ’23 was named Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week and Sr. Associate Athletic Trainer Rachel Leahy was named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week. In Army's contest on Thursday night at Sacred Heart, Leahy's response and treatment was pivotal in a life-threatening medical emergency on the ice. Read more.

CDT Rucker ’24 Scores 1,000th Career Point
Army West Point Men's Basketball’s co-captain CDT Jalen Rucker ’24 was named the Patriot League GEICO Player of the Week. Rucker has heated up in the new year, and in the first three contests of 2023 (Lafayette, Loyola and Colgate), he has scored 78 points (26.0 ppg), knocking down 13-18 (.722%) from three-point range. On Monday, Rucker connected on a three-point shot, giving him 1,000 career points, becoming the 37th member in Army history to reach the milestone. Read more.

How the Omnibus Bill Could Affect Charitable Giving
