CDT Isaac Morris ’25 Presented with Flipper Award
The Flipper Award commemorates the qualities of perseverance and courage exemplified by Henry O. Flipper (1877) throughout his service to the nation and is presented to a First Class Cadet who has embodied the same qualities. Early during his time as a cadet, Morris suffered the loss of both his mother and brother, and his father was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Despite these circumstances, Morris chose to remain at West Point, taking only a brief emergency leave before returning to continue his duties and responsibilities as a cadet. Morris is Captain of the men’s Army West Point Cross Country team, his dad is currently in remission, and he looks forward to graduating with his dad watching.
