“Ring Melt” for Class of 2022
The annual “Ring Melt” was broadcast live via YouTube from West Point Eisenhower Hall on February 12. This year, 52 donated West Point class rings were melted and added to the Legacy Gold which will be used to make the West Point class rings for the Class of 2022. Full story. 500th Night
Class of 2022 cadets celebrated 500th Night on February 12. This event gives cadets a chance to celebrate their accomplishments and anticipate what’s left to do. New West Point Capstone Experience
This year, select First Class cadets from the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Systems Engineering, are participating in a new Senior Capstone project sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Energy and Environment). The Army Energy and Water Systems Resilience project is an opportunity for cadets to work on issues they may face during their Army engineering careers. It provides cadets valuable first-hand exposure to Army energy and water requirements and professional challenges, right at the time they are receiving their branch assignments. Read more.
