Mr. Kenneth Fisher to Receive 2022 Thayer Award
WPAOG is pleased to announce that Mr. Kenneth "Ken" Fisher, Chairman & CEO of Fisher House Foundation, will receive the 2022 Sylvanus Thayer Award. The Thayer Award will be presented on October 6 at West Point. The Sylvanus Thayer Award is given annually to a U.S. Citizen whose outstanding character, accomplishments, and stature in the civilian community draw wholesome comparison to the qualities for which West Point strives, in keeping with its motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.” The Thayer Award is the highest honor currently bestowed upon a non-graduate by WPAOG. CDT Flowers ’22 Receives the Henry O. Flipper Award
Class of 2022 Cadet Zorian Flowers received the Henry O. Flipper Award during the Henry O. Flipper Dinner on February 10 at Washington Hall. The award has been given out during Black History Month each year since 1977 to a firstie cadet who, like Flipper, persevered through unusual adversity during their time at West Point. Full story.

Women’s Tennis Wins Gideon Cup in 4-3 Thriller Over Air Force
Army West Point Women’s Tennis reclaimed the historic Gideon Cup after a thrilling 4-3 victory over service-academy rival, Air Force, at the UTSA campus on College Match Day. The Black Knights overcame a 3-1 deficit, rallying back with four singles wins to clinch the match. Read more.
