Class of 2029, Hold the Line

March Back

Congratulations to the Class of 2029 on completing their Cadet Basic Training! They finished with the rugged March Back, accompanied by their WPAOG 50-Year Affiliate Class of 1979. The New Cadets unveiled their class motto, "Hold the Line." Members of the Class of 2029 will be officially accepted into the Corps of Cadets on August 16 during the Acceptance Day Parade. Congratulations to the newest West Point graduates! On August 8, five cadets graduated during a ceremony in Crest Hall. WPAOG 50-Year Affiliate, COL(R) John M. Uhorchak, MD ’75 proudly gripped hands with these new 2LTs, gifting them engraved 75-25 butter bars to commemorate their accomplishment. Photos.

Teague ’95 Named New VP for IT

  COL (R) Ed Teague ’95
   

WPAOG is pleased to announce that COL (R) Ed Teague ’95 P ’21, ’23, ’25, and ’28, is our new Vice President for Information Technology. He joined us on August 4 and will have the benefit of working closely with our current VP of IT Richard French for the next few weeks. We congratulate Richard on his upcoming retirement after 11 years of dedicated service to the Association. Ed joins WPAOG after nine years as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has also served as an Instructor, Program Director, Academy Professor, and IT Director in the Department of Systems Engineering at West Point. Ed commissioned as an Army Aviator and holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Point, a M.S. degree in Operations Research from the University of Texas-Austin, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
