USMA Class of 2030 Marches Back

We celebrated the successful completion of Cadet Basic Training as the newest members of the Corps of Cadets took part in the iconic March Back from Lake Frederick to West Point on August 10. Members of the West Point Class of 1980, along with graduates from across the Long Gray Line, gripped hands and marched alongside the new cadets, officially welcoming them into a tradition that spans generations.

BG Nicholas H. Gist ’94 Named 16th Dean of West Point
The U.S. Army announced Friday that BG Nicholas H. Gist ’94 has been confirmed as the 16th Dean of the Academic Board at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. He officially assumed the duties of Dean during a ceremony held on August 7.

WPAOG Hosts Cadet Basic Training (CBT) Barbecue
WPAOG welcomed the newest members of the Long Gray Line on August 9 with its annual Cadet Basic Training (CBT) Barbecue at Lake Frederick before the Cadet March Back. Following the successful completion of Cadet Basic Training, new cadets gripped hands with over 70 West Point grads from their 50-Year Affiliation Class to celebrate this important milestone and continue building lifelong connections.

Hudson Valley Program
WPAOG's Hudson Valley Program welcomed town and village leaders to observe the culminating exercise of Cadet Leader Development Training (CLDT). The visit gave local officials a firsthand look at the leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills cadets develop during summer training. The visit reinforced the strong partnership between the West Point Association of Graduates and the Town of Highlands as they continue working together to support the revitalization of Highland Falls.
