West Point Grads Win Best Ranger; First Woman Makes History
West Point Class of 2021 1LT Griffin Hokanson and 1LT Kevin Moore from the 75th Ranger Regiment won the U.S. Army’s 2025 Best Ranger Competition. Their classmate, 1LT Gabrielle White, and her teammate, CPT Seth Deltenre, finished 14th out of the 52 competing teams, making White the first woman Ranger to complete the three-day challenge. Oldest Living Grad Celebrates Founders Day
At 106 years old, COL (R) Herb Stern ’41, West Point’s Oldest Living Graduate, continues to embody the spirit of the Long Gray Line. On March 10, he gathered with over 100 fellow graduates and guests at his retirement home in Virginia to celebrate Founders Day. WPAOG President and CEO Mark Bieger ’91 served as the youngest graduate of the event. Read more.

Army Wins Star Series Over Navy
Army Athletics won the Army-Navy Star Series Presented by USAA for the first time since 2013-14. The all-sports challenge between the two service academies began in 1978-79. Read more.

From the Class of 2026, CDTs Hojin Han, Drew Homan, and Johnathan Pinc have been announced as Goldwater Scholars by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. The West Point Graduate Scholarship Program uses Margin of Excellence funds to offer intensive mentorship of cadet candidates competing for prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, and Goldwater.
