Over 250 women graduates made their way to West Point April 7-9 for the 4th West Point Women’s Conference coordinated by West Point Women and WPAOG. Cadets gathered at the Herbert Alumni Center for WPAOG's First Class Social on April 11-12. Sponsored by the Class of 1996, the “Firstie Social” provides First Class Cadets an opportunity to socialize, meet the WPAOG team, and learn about the WPAOG mission to serve cadets, graduates, and the Long Gray Line. WPAOG and the Highland Falls Intermediate School (HFIS) recently launched an after-school partnership program called CONNECT with the goal to provide new impactful learning opportunities for local students as part of assisting in the continuing economic and educational development of Highland Falls. On April 6, students and West Point cadets participated in the latest CONNECT event, where they learned about Capoeira, a Brazilian art that incorporates Portuguese music, acrobatics and dance. Army West Point Boxing took home the 1st Place Men’s National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) National Championship and the 3rd Place Women’s NCBA National Championship. Cadets Sharnae Harmon ’24, Dylan Sheriff ’24, Ryan Chi ’24, and Richard Eyre ’23 brought home the National Title.
